As part of our commitment to supporting the communities in which we conduct business, ARM Holding Company Limited, on the 4th of December 2020, delivered to the Lagos State Government a renovated COVID-19 Outpatient Clinic section at the Onikan General Hospital, along with state-of-the-art medical equipment.
The donation is in support of the Lagos State Government’s effort against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Part of the medical equipment donated by ARM includes the Mirasol Pathogen Reduction Technology System, which is said to be the first of its kind in West Africa.
The Mirasol Pathogen Reduction Technology System for platelets and plasma uses riboflavin and UV light to introduce irreparable lesions into nucleic acids, thereby inhibiting pathogen and white blood cell replication and reducing the load of infectious pathogens.

Speaking at the handing over and commissioning event, Group CEO of ARM Holding Company Limited, Ms Jumoke Ogundare emphasised the need for corporate organisations like ARM to stand with the Government in fighting the COVID-10 Pandemic.
She said, “This is an important initiative for us, and we are all aware of the havoc COVID 19 pandemic has caused, not only in Nigeria, but in other parts of the world, and therefore, it’s time for organisations like ARM to step up and do the right time in taking care of its community. So we are particularly pleased that we have been able to do this.
We hope this will make a big difference in ensuring that COVID-19 is completely eradicated in our community. Hopefully, going forward, this facility will be used for other things as well.”
In his keynote address, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, thanked ARM for its continuous contribution and support to the state. He said the Mirasol Pathogen Reduction Technology System donated by ARM has been on the top of the state’s Wishlist for a long time. He said the system is the first of its kind in West Africa.
